Cedar Creek is located within the city of Olathe, Kansas, a suburb of the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Most residents would describe Olathe as a small town within a city. Approaching nearly 133,000 in population, Olathe is in fact the fastest growing city in the state of Kansas.

Olathe is also one of the most dynamic and fastest growing business communities in the country. Major employers in the area include Honeywell, Olathe Medical Center, Aldi, and Garmin International.

Recreation and Culture – Olathe is located in Johnson County which boasts more than 4,600 acres of park land and an innovative Streamway Parks System. There are also several public and private golf courses for residents to utilize. The Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs are main attractions drawing crowds from several neighboring states.

There is an abundance of festivals around the area including the Renaissance Festival, Spirit Festival, Plaza Arts Festival and many more.The Kansas City Zoo, several outdoor theaters, theme parks and lakes round out the myriad of recreational opportunities in the area.

Cultural activities are very much in evidence in the Kansas city area. Residents can choose from the nationally recognized blues and jazz clubs, to the Kansas City Symphony, the Lyric Opera, The Kansas City Museum and Science City and the State Ballet of Missouri. The Nelson Art Gallery is ranked in the top 15 general art museums in America.

Major Shopping Centers – The Kansas City Metro Area is home to a wide variety of unique shopping areas. From outlet malls to national department stores, small specialty shops to huge discount retailers, every shopping experience can be had within minutes of Cedar Creek.

Oak Park Mall – Located only 12 minutes from Cedar Creek, Johnson County’s biggest mall includes Nordstroms. Other major tenants currently include two Dillard’s locations, J.C. Penney, Macy’s, and many other dining, retail and recreational tenants.

Country Club Plaza – The first outdoor shopping center in the nation, the beautiful, acclaimed and often-copied Country Club Plaza, is located approximately 30 minutes from Cedar Creek. The Plaza is anchored by six upscale tenant stores: Hall’s, Mark Shale, Eddie Bauer, and Barnes & Noble Bookseller. The Plaza is also known for its fantastic Christmas lights display and myriad of fine dining and entertainment establishments.

Town Center Plaza – This 750,000 square foot open-air center, is the largest of its kind in Johnson County. Rivaling the Country Club Plaza in design and tenant mix, it offers upscale shopping with many stores catering to the middle-income and upper middle-income customer. Its anchor stores are Barnes & Noble Bookseller and Macy’s. Many other specialty stores, 15 restaurants and a 20 screen multi-plex theater complete this exciting area. Town Center Plaza is a 15 minute drive from Cedar Creek.

The Legends – The Legends Outlets Kansas City – Kansas City’s premier outdoor shopping and entertainment center and the only designer outlet center in the area. It is a true destination shopping experience with shops such as Cabela’s, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Schlitterbahn Vacation Village Waterpark, NASCAR Kansas Speedway, Sporting Kansas City Professional Soccer, Kansas City T-Bones Baseball, and much more.
